A conflict between terrorists and the Arab governments wouldn’t be anything new, as we know. They had in the past brutal encounters, compared to which this current war is very minor. Just think of the Black September.

I think it is perhaps likely that the Arabs Governments are growing wary once again about the growing power of the terrorist groups, joined this time around by the Al-Qaeda and the Afghan War 'alumni'. At some point these fellows are bound to challenge the current rulers for power.

I think in this context the peace proposal by Prince Abdullah makes sense. They may have come to a decision to “normalize” relations with Israel – for real this time.
