Rusty, if I were Microsoft I would simply structure the build of Office and Windows 2003 so that all of the guts of Office lies in Windows, and the communication between the two would be encrypted. That way, it would be much easier for the WINE initiative to rewrite Office from scratch than to try to emulate the parts that lie in Windows. Of course, that would arguably be a breach of antitrust law, but if I were Microsoft, that would even start to stop me. Dave
