Perhaps you missed the point about Israel as an occupying military force <"This analogy, of course, is far from exact. Egypt was acting against a threat in its sovereign territory, instead of "occupied territories,"> If Egypt was occupying Israel and if Israelis were being crushed day after day, and year after year by an Egyptian army paid for by US taxpayers, then you would have a point. But such as it is, there is no comparison worth making between Egypt dealing harshly with internal radical extremists and Israelis desire to crush the will of the people in the occupied territories.
