What exactly is science for if does not benefit the human race? Science provides us with tools that can be of great benefit to us in our quest to develop ourselves. We can use many of the same tools to destroy ourselves, if we so choose. Tools are a necessary part of building anything, but they won't build by themselves. The tools science gives us can help us to develop ourselves, but if they aren't used wisely they will do little good and may do harm. I am not sure that science is able to provide wisdom, or that it is reasonable to ask science to provide wisdom.
