Right, but ANWAR oil isn't deliverable for ten years anyway. If we used these next ten years to do a Marshall Plan to develop hydrogen and hybrid cars, within ten years we could reduce our dependency on OPEC completely. Remember, Russia and Mexico have plenty of oil. Plus we have lots of natural gas which can replace oil. Natural gas vehicles already run very well. So why bother ruining ANWAR when by the time we get the oil we might not need it. ONLY that is if we make the buig move toward renewable clean fuels now. Unfortunately Bush-Cheney are in the way. The influence of Big Oil may be the #1 issue of 2004.
