Best restaurant in Montréal is portuguese, in the old quarter, Vieux [sp?] Montréal, tucked away maybe a block and a half to the southwest of Notre Dame ... they do things with mussels you wouldn't believe ... acoustic music live even on weeknights, classical guitar mostly but also a violinist often ... and not all that ethnic, they seem to have celtic friends in frequently, pipers even .... family run, and they have a place in Portugal as well, lodge or something, as you can book a stay there with the cashier .... absolutely wonderful warm little place, can't remember the name, don't know if it's still there, haven't seen it for maybe seven years .... but the menus are fully bilingual - french and portuguese -g-
Not everyone takes to language, just as not all take to maths ... which latter i understand fully -g- |
