Richard you probably raise some valid points.
I've been out of iatv a long time and haven't even bothered to look at their financial profile
for fear it will be as ugly as most tech co's.
I was not in it when it popped in 99 because of internet mania.
The bullishness is if multiple camera angles works well, without any bugs, in a consumer format - which I will believe only when I see it. Actv has used the word "launch" posthumously before. (If it's been 'launched', then that means I can see it tonight - doesn't it?!! It sure as hell should.) Nevertheless, the report here that an Actv truck was seen at a Nascar event is encouraging.
If it works well, I think then it will be a desirable service to offer in other sports, and that numerous people will pay for it and that would be great for the co.
But, I repeat, the press release is poorly written and vague (IMO), and I will just have to anticipate that that is an innocent mistake for now.
As someone who is familiar with Actv from the past - I will believe it only when I SEE it, and never before.
Your point about revenues and burn rate is a good one. All the stocks are being judged on numbers, not hype, now.
But if this service works WELL and really and truly offers multiple camera angles that the consumer can pick and choose from then you could expect some buzz about it.
Multiple camera angles has always been the great promise of Actv and they have never delivered. It doesn't matter if some of the reasons they didn't were out of their control. The reasons they haven't are not important anymore to shareholders.
IMHO.
