Even if each cloning resulted in monstrous offspring, it would be no different than the scale of mutations and deformity already seen in pollution and radiation cases. Worst case, think thalidomine. This is of course quite a tragedy for the affected individuals, but it is hardly a threat to the species. The sky is is not falling, although it may soon rain nuclear interceptors.
