If I can put in my 2cents, DUV steppers are currently used in
production in many Korean/Far East DRAM Fabs. The estimates I have
received from Nikon is that they have over 100 DUV steppers currently
in the field. The leadtime for a Body 12 DUV Nikon stepper is
currently quoted at 18 months ARO and actuals are running about 15 months.
The ramp for DUV steppers has already begun !!!
DUV scanners (Nikon,ASM,Canon ...) are another story !!!

I agree with your estimate of needed steppers for a Fab. I would change
some of your assumptions, but the end result is close enough.

I also agree with your comments about critical sub-components limiting
the availability of both steppers and scanners. Cymer lasers and quartz
for optics will gate production.
