OK, so in some jurisdictions, the standard of proof for capital cases needs to be higher. BTW,
And then there is Texas where a single witness can get you convicted for a capital crime.
somehow I think it requires more than just some bozo wandering into the police station and claiming you had killed someone.

The same people who run the IRS and DMV would get to make decisions about life and death of actual human beings.
But those people don't. A jury does.

If you look at the overturn rate with new DNA evidence
The law in all jurisdictions should be changed to require that if DNA evidence is available, it must be processed and made available to both sides.

Now: Given that, do you think a death penalty for Eichmann would be justified? Or do all his victims get no justice?
