Mmm ... apples and oranges - a mountain is a solid object, where a building is a hollow shell ... i remember hearing of the outer wall as ~50cm of reinforced concrete at strongest points ... this 100 tons is moving at 6-700 kmh, figure out the impact forces, both wall and aeroplane turn to flaming dust inside ... the engines would retain integrity in recognisable form, but inside ... and how would you hide elsewhere that plane and all those people? ... could be done, certainly, but not easy, and i don't see a motive that would warrant doing so .... also, i remember hearing live interviews on the radio of eyewitnesses at the scene, describing among other things the plane going over their roofs, they did sound like independent third parties ... though it was a while ago and i didn't take notes, might have just been one person, and who knows, not disinterested perhaps ..... i dunno, but i just still doubt it, Occam's razor and all that
Sorry for using the term 'truth' -g- ... yes, lots of doctrinaire connotation to it, but in using it i did see the concept as related very much to 'facts' and 'evidence' .... as for dissidence, hey i'm all for that, in as well-placed and effective a manner as possible .... and whether Dubya has us on the way to WWIII, i hope not but definitely see scarey behaviour, some of the people he has on hire are not the most shining examples of the species, at least six of the ones found guilty for war crimes against Nicaragua, for instance ... this clearly demonstrates an attitude not compatible with us all getting along on this little planet
Yes i like that eXile guy, turns a phrase well and may have a point in that article ... Jay Chen often makes me think and/or smile at the way he says stuff, several of his friends over there are bright folk as well ... not one of them under any illusions about not getting lied to constantly, by governments and others
