Jorj- Apparently Gilmour did ALOT of side projects, but unfortunately it seems like it was never really pointed out enough to take notice.. but its funny because your right, his style is so unmistakeable.. He did alot with Pete Townsend as well.. What were the names of the two albums he did solo? I actually owned them back ages ago and probably have them sitting in the attic alongside my 'pros and cons of hitchiking' with Sam Fox butt naked : )

About Face was one of his albums.. I remember that.. Someone pointed out earlier that the two (waters/gilmour) made such a powerful combination.. When the FLoyd broke up, I leached onto Waters and was one of those 'This aint floyd!' types until I couldnt resist and bought Momentary Lapse..

Its funny because after the split, Waters seemed to be on a mission to out-do Gilmour with his guitarists.. First he had Eric Clapton do Pros and Cons, (GREAT guitar work in that album- simply incredible!) and than Andy Fairweather low for his Radio Kaos.. and on the last one, Amuzed to Death he had Jeff Beck.. I was never a big fan of Jeff Beck until I heard that album..

Most people I turn onto Amuzed to death simply cant get into it.. To me it was one of the best works of lyrical content I ever got my hands on.. There is a song with Waters and Don Henley.. 'Watching TV'.. a must listen to : )
Very poltical, and some of the songs actually reduce me to tears in how he gets his point across..
