Sounds like business started falling off a cliff:

During a conference call with analysts, Veritas executives said they were tempering their forward guidance after the selling environment deteriorated in the final weeks of the first quarter.

``As we got into the month of March ... we saw a definite erosion,'' Veritas Chief Executive Gary Bloom said.
