Bush has merely been able to conceal his share of evil so far. Mainly because of patriotism, myself included, whereby we give him a break while we're in a crisis. But hearing Ollie North say tonight that Osama is dead makes me realize that Al Quaida may be finished as an organization. Maybe others will sprout but terrorism may also gradually fade out from here. After all, it does not gain the perpetrators anything but a fast trip to hell (or heaven in their twisted minds). After awhile, human nature is to realize that life beats the hell out of the alternative, even if the world is a screwed up place. Well what else is new? The fact is the Arabs and Palestinians would be twice as well off if they'd just get with the 21st century and be someone people would want to do business with, or trust in any way. I used to trust Arafat but now I see the evidence he's been a liar this whole time. In this respect, Bush should be refusing to do business with him. But oil is the power they hold over our heads. It will take awhile but if we start now we can get off oil, and save ANWAR and other beautiful natural places in the process.
