It depends on how the appraisal is done.
1) The court could simply go off and do it in a vacuum, without soliciting input from either side. No action necessary.
2) They could solicit written advocacy and then go off by themselves.
3) There could be a full trial-type presentation.
4) Something else entirely.

I will try to find out which of the above is true. Let me know if you find anything else.
