Hi Allen, re: knowledgeable Mac guys

Some things are beyond the realm of reasonable knowledge,
and new things often have to be explored and figured out
by accident. Case in point:

Our company, a Mac-based multimedia firm, was using re-formatted
PC Jaz cartridges for the development of our projects. Because of
vendor supply, we couldn't always get Mac formatted cartridges.
We used FWB Primer to do the reformatting. Curiously, we noticed
that aliases would sometimes quit recognizing their original file
references.

Purely by accident, we discovered that if the Iomega driver takes
over a cartridge re-formatted by FWB, or vice-versa, that is when
the alias problem occurred. Who would have known? Simply a chance
discovery.
