8:54AM Motorola maintains Q2 earnings guidance (MOT) 15.00: -- Update -- On call, says it expects to report a loss of $0.04 per share, ex-special items, in Q2, which is in line with the consensus estimate; Q2 sales projected to be in range of $6.3-6.4 bln (Multex consensus is $6.48 bln)... for full-year, says it still expects 5-10% sales decline, but believes EPS of $0.04 (consensus $0.00) is achievable given cost reduction efforts from last year, a furthering of those efforts this year, and improved gross margins in its handset and semiconductor businesses.
