All governments lie, for sure, but you can't single out Israel as a special case, especially because it has a free press to point out the lies, which it does. Unlike Arab countries, where free speech and freedom of the press is practically nonexistant. Could you imagine in Saudia Arabia a newspaper countering the government's reporting of Jews eating nonjews for passover as nonsense. Was their any newspaper in all of the Arab world that reported on the Saudi news item to say it was crap. So, if I ran a country that had no free press, I'd be likely to tell more lies than if I ran a country that had a free press to question what I say.
