the Palestinian suicide bombing is qualitatively different from Al-Qaida.

How exactly? Al Qaeda use hijacked airplanes to commit their murders while the Palestinians use children? I suppose that on a 1-10 qualitative scale, the Palestinians are about a 9 while Al Qaeda, because of the number killed, are a 9.5. I'm reserving the 10 for the first terrorist user of a nuke or a dirty nuke.

Both are fueled by hate and rage against what is essentially Western culture--no qualitative difference there.

Both are inspired by the same perverse reading of a religious text--no difference there, either.

Both strike in a cowardly way--no difference to be seen there, either.

Hmm.....having trouble with this "qualitative difference" claptrap, especially when the net result is dead innocent civilians.
