Let me pull some excerpts from this one...

Systems featuring the mobile AMD Athlon XP processor are expected to be available from Sharp Corporation in Japan. Scheduled to ship in early May, the new processor will be included in Sharp's Mebius PC-GP1-C7H A4-size all-in-one notebooks with a 15`` LCD screen.

"Expected from Sharp..."
"Scheduled to ship in early May..."

So it's STILL not out yet...

Production shipments of the mobile AMD Athlon XP processors, including models 1400+ and 1500+, began in first quarter of 2002. Notebook PCs based on the mobile AMD Athlon XP processor, models 1600+ and 1700+, are expected to be available later this quarter.

Now this is just bass ackwards... why are they only shipping 1400+ and 1500+ parts on a brand new process? Also were still in the future perfect tense for the 1600+ and 1700+...

This does NOT increase my confidence in AMD's manufacturing capability... especially coming a year after Intel moved the Tualatin over to an analogous process...
