Fred FIELD ACTIVITIES / MANTAUR PETROLEUM ANNOUNCES SECOND RED RIVER OIL DISCOVERY Stock Symbol: ``MTUR'' - CDN TORONTO, July 9 /CNW/ - Mantaur Petroleum Corporation today announced that its 25% interest Larson 18-1 wildcat well in Richland County, Montana successfully tested oil in the Red River ``C'' formation from the interval 11,760' - 11,840'. Drill pipe recovery during the open hole test was 1,137 feet of clean light oil at good pressures with no formation water evident. Production casing is presently being run and the well completion and testing will follow. Mantaur is a Canadian oil company active in the exploration of its Red River oil prospects in the Williston Basin of North Dakota and Montana and has also made application for Contracts to explore for hydrocarbons in the Republic of Mongolia. The presently issued share capital of Mantaur is 12,582,310 common shares (18.6 million shares fully diluted).
