WMT rumor on trading floor Wal-Mart falls on trading floor rumor : Wal-Mart Stores (WMT 58.79 -1.21) shares have turned lower as trading floors begin to buzz with rumor of an investigation into the company by the SEC. At this time no one appears to know exactly what is supposedly being investigated. While we are somewhat skeptical of the rumor, the talk has definitely contributed to stock's retreat to its lows of the day.
