What is the second side of the story I am supposed to be refusing to recognize? Much of the conflict right now has to do with the settlements. The Israelis originally tried to sell them as "bargaining chips"- -in spite of the fact that they are in violation of international law (whatever that means). "bargining chips". Yeah, right. Israeli clearly intended to expand into Palestinian areas. That is guaranteed to generate conflict- -and has. The current conflict has to do with 19th century nationalism, not ancient tribalism or religion, primarily. You don't remember the Israelites being hauled off to Babylon, AKA Iraq? Or Exodus (Egypt)? Religion? How do you separate religion out in this matter? One side is entirely Jewish; the other is entirely Muslim. Religion and nationalism are the same thing here.
