Kathy,

Gary North's site could cause one to get very nervous indeed. Even to start calling out from the rooftops. However, none of us can accurately predict the outcome of this problem. Even if someone does tell us what will happen we won't know if they are right until it's over. I use Gary's site as a wake-up call to force me to, as Mad Monk has done, make a plan to accomodate a catastrophe. I'll adjust it as things develop and stick to it in 1999. For example, set a date to get out of the market/create a list of stocks for shorting or put buying in 1999; if you are willing to keep some money in your trading account through the date change. Having a bearish strategy at the ready will probably help calm those jangling nerves.

At least don't book any flights for New Year's Eve 1999.

Best regards,
Bond

P.S. Further Y2K counseling will be changed at 25› per LOC (Lines Of Counseling). I hear a new career calling!
