I disagree strongly, but we'll never know. Look at how fast the p3 suddenly improved when the Athlon came out. They accelerated their roadmap by almost a year.

No more evil then the next monopolistic company would be a better way to put it, but I agree. Of course, the next monopolostic company comparable is microsoft, and saying you're not evil compared to them isn't saying a whole heck of a lot.
