The following is an old (6/6/97) press release from Univec. I've bolded the statement that I found especially interesting. I had no idea UNVC had such lofty goals. I would imagine their implementation is already in the works. UNIVEC INC. TO BE FEATURED ON MAJOR TV SHOW Garden City, New York. June 6, 1997 --Univec Inc. (NASDAQ: UNVC), will be featured on a major syndicated television show on Sunday, June 8,1997 at 12 Noon, EDT. "Building America," the syndicated TV show that focuses on companies that are contributing to the growth of jobs and the new economy of America, will feature the extraordinary concept and products of Univec. New York area viewers will be able to view the show on Channel 2. Univec manufactures and distributes a line of patented auto destruct syringes which are designed to halt the spread of communicable diseases such as HIV and Hepatitis B through the reuse of contaminated syringes. The Company, which recently completed an IPO, plans to make it's patented technology the norm for the entire medical community through a combination of direct sales and cooperative licensing agreements with major pharmaceutical/medical device companies.
