Bush announces "war on terror" will go on for years.
Now we can see his real tactic here. If he can keep the "war" going until election time he will have many people feeling duty-bound to vote for him and he can wave the flag against the "evil-doers", thereby covering up all the real issues in the campaign. Nobody disagrees with going after terrorists (except a few fringe types) so that's not even an issue.

Let's face it, Bin lauden is probably dead and so is Al Qaudia, more or less. Hamas is Israel's problem. So is Hezbollah. I think we're safer now than we were pre- (/11 so what's with the "war"?

Bush mentionmed the Axis Of Evil again today, saying they are gaining weapons of mass destruction and linking up with terrorist organizations. Where is the evidence of that except maybe against Israel? I think it's all a big lie. Yes, they're on our enemies list and probably should be, but they're not provoking anyone outside the ISrael conflict now.

Frankly, I think it's time the American people looked beyond terrorism and started focusing in other issues. So what if a few people start shooting at our guys in Afghanistan. What do you expect? That's a vuiolent place. Violence will never stop there.
