The NY Times are off base here. The coup was a saving grace for Pakistan, even Musharef skeptics can acknowledge that. Sharif was leading the country into a fundamentalist hellhole. The coup was justified, in my opinion, and history will judge whether I'm right. I was doubtful of Musharef's ability to succeed, but Iqbal's commentary has made me very hopeful for Pakistan.
