We're defending Japan's supply. I believe they import 70 pct of their oil from the MidEast. Both Europe and Japan import a larger share from the MidEast. It'll be interesting next month if the Fed holds rates on May 7th and the CPI on the 17th shows the pass-through of oil price increases from the PPI this month. There's usually a one-month lag from the PPI to the CPI. It usually takes two to three months for gasoline price increases to show up in the report since the surveys are at least three to six weeks old with an early month cutoff.
