Messrs James Tutton, Anthony Crossley, and Kenneth Crosby report
Canadian Golden Dragon Resources, East West Resource Corp, and Cross Lake
Minerals, have been advised by Golden Knight Resources that diamond
drilling has resumed on a promising base metals (copper) zone on the
Nighthawk property near Sheraton Lake in northern Sheraton Township. The
area being tested forms part of the 637 claim unit Nighthawk property held
by the company (40%), East West Resources Corp (40%) and Canadian Golden
Dragon Resources Ltd (20%) and under option to Golden Knight Resources.
The drill will test two electromagnetic conductors on extension to the
copper mineralization that was intersected in holes SKG97-2 (3 metres of
1.8% copper) and SKG97-3 (two 1.0 metre sections of 1.34% and 1.24% coper).
The details of this earlier drilling were set out in the company's news
release of June 24 1997.
The drill will then be moved two kilometres to the southwest where three or
four holes will be drilled on some newly acquired mining claims that also
form part of the Nighthawk property. This drilling is to determine whether
there is a westward extension into the Nighthawk property from the base
metals discovery, announced on June 20 1997 on the company's 100% owned
Sheraton Timmins property. The program is intended to generally outline the
nature and extent of the copper and/or zinc mineralization and any
associated silver and gold values.
