Mucho: ... but these kinds of absurd bargains on phones point, it seems, to the desperate efforts of equipment makers to stimulate some kind of demand... I forgot which carriers you and robv got these cheap phones from, but what have you seen to support the notion that it is the equipment makers like NOK who are selling phones for $50 (or in robv's case, paying him to take their phone <g>), and not the carriers who are "desperate" to boost their subscriber adds?
