Dear NW: Although the price of the buyer normally determines the price of the buyee, do you think in this case that CPQ could have an impact on HWP's price? The idea of CPQ either pulling up or pulling down HWP with this a determining factor in HWPs price?

Thus far today, CPQ is up and HWP down.

I _never_ thought I'd say this before a CPQ:HWP merger became a possibility, buy GO HWP!!

BTW, taking a look at the HWP thread, I hope people decide to stay here after the merger. Although both threads started within a month of each other, there are over 97,000 postings here versus just over 4,500 there. Current HWP shareholders do not seem to take much interest in the company whereas people here do. It seems to be different 'investor cultures' which, unlike HWP and CPQ the corporations, probably won't meld after the merger.

Best regards,

Lynn
