The Beeb - BBC - is as credible as it gets. Same with the Washington Post, New York Times, NPR, LA Times. If they make a mistake, it's rare, and they admit it, and try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

Same with the UN. If UN observers said something happened, they are as credible as it gets.

CB,

We regularly saw the UN in the West Bank and Gaza using their radios to warn the Pals that an IDF patrol was approaching and alerting the us, the press that a confrontation was planned at a specific time and place. They are not neutral -- at least not there. They also made the UN Club in Gaza City, the only place that served alcohol in all of Gaza, available to the press and would make their anti-Israel case to us as we sat drinking cheap beer around their pool.

The BBC reporters seem to be cut from the same far cloth as those from the Guardian and the Independent. JMHO after working and drinking with them for years.
