I heard it was a special Navy SEALs team acting on its own that was out to increase defense spending. Worked good, too, eh?

The other story I heard was that those were disguised UFOs. This was a preparatory step to triggering WW3. The aliens will move in and take over afterwards. They live on radioactivity.
