Nothing, I already considered it because at the end of 2001 FCX projected 250,000 ounces of first quarter gold because they planned to go into a lower grade zone. I was suprised they reported such as high number, actually. They plan on 2.3moz for 2002 (which means a more normal amount of about 650,000 for this next three quarters) Also, compare it to 2.6moz for 2001 and 1.9moz for 1999. It fluctutates with copper mining, as expected.

I read the article and focused more on the word "flat"
I don't think he is expecting a 30% decline by 2010 as mentioned later in the same article.
