They should pass legislation which has incentives(tax breaks) for driving cars like Toyota's hybrid Prius, which gets ~60 mpg. The average car now only gets about 10 miles more per gallon than the Model T. If the same were applied to technology growth, we would all still have vacuum tube computers. The fact that nobody sees this obvious fact is utterly amazing to me.
