Funny. Folks that think the space boondoggle was a dandy thing would prolly get right pissed if their grocer charged them $1,000 for a loaf of bread. When some aggregation of private capital begins exploiting space for the benefit of consumers, I suspect there will be some Marxist remnants that will be outraged.

Your first paragraph is meaningless chatter. People want cars and the fuel to run them. The market's done a pretty good job of supplying them. It would have done better sans the interference of your gods. That's about it.

As to what you call corporate welfare, we're probably in some agreement, though I assume you subscribe to the fiction that reducing taxes on corporations constitutes welfare.
