ANWR, roughly the size of South Carolina, sprawls over 19 million acres, on Alaska's northeast coast. Republicans sought to open l2,000 acres of ANWR to drilling, an area equivalent to a large airport.

Even though the story is a typical liberal slanted piece here is a cut from one.

Funny....I see no one bitching when thousands upon thousands of acres of the lower 48 have oil wells on them....but now some little po-dunk place in Alaska is being used for a political football by the democarps and Dashedout. Wonder who is lining that #%&&#'s pockets?

Dashedout cares nothing for this country.
