An amazing outlook from Chartered...

(thanks again to ksn_44 for the heads-up)

From Charter's earnings report released after the bell:

Chartered Reports Better Than Expected Results and Outlook

"During the last six weeks, we have seen growing indications from our customer base that the semiconductor industry recovery is beginning to accelerate," said Barry Waite, president & CEO of Chartered. "We see improvement in orders across all of the market segments we serve and across a wide range of customers, particularly those in communications.

Contributing in a major way to our improved revenue outlook is the series of customer engagement successes on 0.18-micron products in recent quarters. We expect that in the second quarter, our 0.18-micron revenues will more than double to well over 20 percent of our total revenues and continue to grow significantly throughout the remainder of the year."
