KLA-Tencor's Q3 Results Down Sharply

Boston, Apr 18, 2002 (MidnightTrader via COMTEX) -- KLA-Tencor Corp. (KLAC) is declining today on 28,400 REDIBook shares after the company reported a sharp drop in its Q3 results.
KLAC posted a profit of $0.17 per share, two cents better than the First Call consensus, but down from the gain of $0.71 per share recorded a year ago. Revenue was $357 million, well ahead of the $342.6 million expected by Wall Street, but down 42 percent from the $617.5 million reported in the year ago quarter.
