re: Intel gives Xbox -> AMD? / " 5. drive AMD ASP’s lower"

ASPs aren't really an issue. If Intel/AMD has the production capacity and there is no better use for this capacity then even $20 chips which cost $19 to make is a good deal. They make a dollar. Sure the ASPs drop... but the profit increases. Sorry if this is nitpicking...

The Xbox chips seemed like a great match for producing a mature processor design at facilities which were no longer cutting edge and otherwise might be underutilized - either for P3-0.18 or Duron-0.18.
