hdl, [P]eople like to see, touch, feel notebook computers before buying.... If true, why is Gateway closing Gateway Country stores? Additionally, Dell's original strategy was to attack the corporate market and, later, Dell has been attacking the consumer market. While consumers may like to "touch" and "feel" the products they wish to buy, consumers also want "bargains". Therefore, a consumer could go to Best Buy to "touch" and "feel" a computer and, subsequently, place an order through Dell since Dell provides better value.
