John, So many of those guys use a bizarre concept called dynamic asset allocation. They buy more on the way up and sell on the way down. Hence, at the top, they have their largest weighting in the riskiest stuff. They are constantly buying high and selling low. On purpose! Of course, if you hit a long strong trend, as in the 1990s, it works great. But it just makes my contrarian skin crawl. <g>
