HDL:

Hearing loss attributable to either age or too many hours flying around in my small airplane looking for a building to smack. (g)

Incidentally, I am in the camp that believes that yesterday's aircraft accident was what they called it.... an accident. When one gets a problem in the cockpit and is rooting around trying to solve it even as the adrenalin level goes off scale, it is amazingly easy to forget the golden rule,..... "aviate, navigate, communicate and IN THAT ORDER". Accidents attributable to "controlled flight into obstructions or terrain" are common, and having experienced a couple of "difficulties" while aloft, I can affirm how easy it is to let the plane get out of hand.

Best, Earlie
