Yes all of that's true - but how can the behavour in Jenin escape notice? I've thought long and hard about this business of what is anti-Semitic or not. There's no question that many Jews hide behind this protective shield. There are some things I absolutely can't discuss with a Jewish friend, because the long term persecution of his people leads him to protect ANY behaviour on the basis of self defence - 'the Arabs want to destroy our state, etc'. In a way there are parralels between the Americans and Jews. 6 Jewish deaths provoke the most extreme outrage whereas 100 Palestini deaths are somehow justified by any means. Smash their houses - what the hell? Ditto with one American death vs how many Afghanis, Iraquis etc.? Franks is being criticised for the fact that American ground troops were not committed earlier in the search for Bin Laden, but the fact is that proxy wars are far more palatable now - post Vietnam.
