Mike:

I am loath to express what my gut is telling me, but the hard numbers that I look at are telling me that:
- this ain't no recovery.
- as previously noted, the only thing that stands between all of us and an avalanche is the refinancing game and it is not looking as robust as it did a few months ago.
- anybody notice that lay-offs are starting to disappear? NOT!!
- corporate debt levels, which have been on a rocket ride, this past few years, are going to become very important to investors in the near term. Profits are AWOL and without profits, "debt servicing" becomes the dominant corporate survival concern. Many corporations already have identification tags attached to their toes.
- gold rising and the Greenback is under pressure. But of course, trade and current account deficits are irrelevent..... (that is until they become relevent). (g)
- and might some of those thoughtless, self-serving Asian investors be sneaking out the back door with respect to their percentage holdings of US denominated assets? Do frogs have water-tight rectums? (g)

One could go on and on. Suffice to say,
Puts R US. (g)

Best, Earlie
