Re: ELUSIVE PEACE Colin Powell's peace mission ended in failure and also in a snub and humiliation by Hosni Mubarak who refused to see him on the excuse that he (Mubarak) was just too busy. It is interesting to note that while the European and Middle East and Asian news media reported this fact, the local press made scant mention of it. However, the Prez said that Colin Powell had made significant progress. Well, in diplomatic parlance, "significant" actually means zilch, nothing, zero, nada!
