OT NOkia:

This seems to be a Nokia-specific problem, as most of the other wireless-space companies, like Sprint PCS, are telling a different story.

The answer to "when does this stuff get old" is product-specific. That is, you can't make an analogy between cell phones and PCs. The 100B-dollar question in wireless is: what, if anything, will consumers pay for other-than-just-plain-voice wireless services? If the answer is, "not much", then the pain in this sector has just begun.
