Hawkmoon...You've mentioned a Ghandi approach several times and I'm curious why you think this would bring any real benefit to the Palestinians other that the obvious one of stopping the retaliatory violence? India with its huge population and important British business interests accomplished its goals with non-violence by using boycotts and work stoppages as a tool. The tool wasn't non-violence. The Palestinians don't have comparable leverage.
