Thank you for that mini lecture on existence, with which I disagree, BTW.

Certain sexual behaviors have psychological manifestations that are not healthy--they sully the minds (eg.,forming neuroses)

Uhhhh, not according to any psychiatric theory I'm aware of.

and bodies (eg.,hepatitis, hemorrhoids . . .) of people.

Loving intercourse between a husband and a wife can result in urinary tract infection. Are you suggesting that the woman in this case is being sullied?

"Just look at Barbara, her nails are perfectly manicured, her Jag is always spotless, and she graduated from Vassar--what's so wrong with her husband putting a leather mask over her head, having her wear a dog collar, and watching her have sex with his boss? For heaven's sake, they're consenting adults! "

Just curious, why the addition of these lifestyle details? Do you believe that owning a Jaguar makes one better somehow? Or attending an Ivy League college?

And more to your point, if no one is coercing Barbara (or Karma, or poet) into doing a sexual act and if the sexual act is enjoyable to all parties even it weren't something I could imagine doing, like this sordid little scene, I'd still say it's not for me to judge.

this is a very profound topic as it addresses the reverberation (not limited to sexual acts) of actions on the physical plane into the realm of our psychology. Consequences, consequences . . . sometimes they're subtle, but nothing is inconsequential.

Shall I insert the theme from 2001: A Space Odyssey here? -g
